Space Dandy is an original TV anime directed by Shinichiro Watanabe, aired from January 2014. Produced by Bones, this sci-fi comedy follows the carefree alien hunter Dandy as he travels the universe with his outdated robot QT and cat-like alien Meow, searching for undiscovered alien species to claim bounties. The series adopted an experimental omnibus format with different directors for each episode, resulting in dramatically varying art styles and genres per episode, earning high acclaim both domestically and internationally. It also drew attention for its unprecedented simultaneous broadcast in Japan and the US. 13 episodes (Season 1).
