Buddy Complex is an original TV anime produced by Sunrise, aired from January 2014. Created by Hajime Yatate, the series follows modern-day high schooler Aoba Watase who is guided by mysterious girl Hina Yumihara through a time slip to a future battlefield, where he pilots a giant robot "Valiancer" for the Free Pact Alliance. The mecha action centers on the "Coupling System" that mentally links two pilots. The story unfolds around his bond with future partner Dio Junyou Weinberg and a destiny that transcends time. 13 episodes plus 2 finale episodes.
