Brynhildr in the Darkness is a TV anime based on Lynn Okamoto's manga serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine, aired from April 2014. Produced by Arms, the story follows astronomy enthusiast high schooler Ryota Murakami who encounters transfer student Neko Kuroha, the spitting image of his childhood friend Kuroneko whom he lost years ago. She turns out to be an escaped experimental subject called a "witch." Ryota fights alongside the witches, who will die without suppressant medication, against the research facility. A sci-fi suspense by Lynn Okamoto, creator of "Elfen Lied." 13 episodes.
