Blue Spring Ride is a TV anime based on Io Sakisaka's manga serialized in Shueisha's Bessatsu Margaret magazine, with over 13 million copies in circulation. Aired from July 2014, produced by Production I.G, this youth love story follows high schooler Futaba Yoshioka who reunites with Kou Mabuchi, a boy she shared mutual feelings with in middle school. Confused by how much he has changed, she is nonetheless drawn to him again. The series poignantly depicts Futaba's quest to reclaim her true self and Kou's struggle with past trauma. 12 episodes.
