Hanayamata is a TV anime based on Sou Hamayumiba's manga serialized in Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Forward magazine, aired from July 2014. Produced by Madhouse, the series follows insecure middle schooler Naru Sekiya who encounters blonde girl Hana N. Fountainstand dancing under the moonlight and leaps into the world of yosakoi dancing. The story depicts the youth and friendship of girls who form a yosakoi club and aim to compete in tournaments. A dazzling work featuring vibrant yosakoi dances and the growth of relatable young girls. 12 episodes.
