Sailor Moon Crystal is a TV anime based on Naoko Takeuchi's iconic manga, streaming from July 2014 on Niconico. Produced by Toei Animation, this complete reboot of the franchise that became a social phenomenon in the 1990s follows the original manga more faithfully. Middle schooler Usagi Tsukino transforms into Sailor Moon to protect Earth alongside fellow Sailor Guardians. The first season covering the "Dark Kingdom" arc attracted attention as a next-generation reboot with character designs reproducing the manga's delicate art style. 26 episodes (Seasons 1 & 2).
