Laughing Under the Clouds is a TV anime based on Karakara Kemuri's manga serialized in Mag Garden's Monthly Comic Avarus magazine, aired from October 2014. Produced by Doga Kobo, this period action drama is set in Otsu, Shiga Prefecture after the Meiji Restoration. It follows the three Kumoh Shrine brothers—eldest Tenka, middle Soramaru, and youngest Chutaro—who escort prisoners to "Gokumonjo," a prison floating on Lake Biwa.
