The first chapter of "Arise," a new series based on Masamune Shirow's manga "Ghost in the Shell." Produced by Production I.G and directed by Kazuchika Kise. A prequel depicting Major Motoko Kusanagi's story before the formation of Section 9. It follows Kusanagi as she leaves the military, meets Daisuke Aramaki, and lays the foundation for what would become Public Security Section 9. Music by Cornelius.
