Kemono no Souja Erin

A TV anime produced by Production I.G and Trans Arts, based on the fantasy novel "The Beast Player" by Nahoko Uehashi published by Kodansha, with cumulative sales exceeding 2 million copies. The series was produced as a commemorative work for the 50th anniversary of NHK Educational Television. Erin, a young girl living with her mother Soyon, a beast healer, faces tragedy when all the fighting serpents (Touda) under her mother's care perish and Soyon is sentenced to death for the loss. Rescued by a beekeeper named John, Erin eventually encounters wild Royal Beasts soaring through the sky in the deep mountains, and aspires to become a beast healer like her mother, enrolling at the Kazalm Royal Beast Sanctuary school. Directed by Takayuki Hamana with series composition by Junichi Fujisaki.
