The Tower of Druaga: the Sword of URUK

A TV anime produced by GONZO. This is the second season based on Bandai Namco Games' arcade game "The Tower of Druaga." Jil, the climber who conquered the top floor of the tower with his companions in the previous series, is met with a devastating betrayal by Kaaya, whom he had trusted. Kaaya vanishes into the "Phantom Tower" alongside Neeba, who harbors mysterious intentions. As Jil wallows in despair, a mysterious girl named Kai appears before him and says, "Take me to the top of the tower." With a wish he thought he had lost burning in his heart, Jil becomes a climber once more and embarks on another endless tower adventure. Directed by Koichi Chigira with series composition by Shoji Gatoh. The anime aired from January 2009 on tvk and other independent stations for a total of 12 episodes. ©NBGI/Izumi Project
