"Umineko: When They Cry" is a TV anime produced by Studio Deen, based on the visual novel by 07th Expansion. Directed by Chiaki Kon with series composition by Toshifumi Kawase, the series aired from July to December 2009 across 26 episodes. In October 1986, members of the wealthy Ushiromiya family gather on the secluded island of Rokkenjima for their annual conference. As schemes swirl around patriarch Kinzo's vast fortune, a typhoon isolates the island and mysterious murders begin. Adapted from Episodes 1-4 of the original work.
