Mirage of Blaze

A TV anime based on Mizuna Kuwabara's light novel series (Cobalt Bunko, Shueisha), produced by Madhouse. It aired for 13 episodes on Kids Station from January to April 2002. Vengeful spirits of fallen Sengoku-era warlords are reborn in the modern world to restart the Warring States period. Against them stands the Meikai Uesugi Army led by the soul of Uesugi Kenshin. The story centers on the four-hundred-year bond between commander Kagetora and guardian Naoe Nobutsuna.
