The fourth installment of Toei Animation's Digimon series. It aired for 50 episodes on Fuji TV from April 2002 to March 2003. Five children summoned to the Digital World by mysterious messages don't partner with Digimon but instead transform into Digimon themselves through "Spirit Evolution," marking a major turning point for the franchise. The opening theme "FIRE!!" is performed by Koji Wada.
