Animated by GONZO, this adaptation of Fumikane Shimada's multimedia franchise is set in an alternate 1944 where mysterious alien invaders called "Neuroi" threaten the world. Young girls with magical abilities called "Witches" fight back using leg-mounted "Striker Units" that allow them to fly. Yoshika Miyafuji from the Fuso Empire joins the 501st Joint Fighter Wing "Strike Witches" after receiving a letter from her missing father, forging bonds with her comrades as they battle the Neuroi.
