The third installment in the anime series based on the original story by Norie Yamada. Set in modern-day Japan where magic is recognized as a specialized skill, the story follows 16-year-old Sora Suzuki, a magic user from Biei, Hokkaido, who travels to Tokyo for training to become a certified government mage. Though cheerful and caring, Sora carries an incurable illness that only afflicts magic users. Through encounters with fellow trainees and touching people's hearts through magic, Sora's growth is depicted with a distinctive visual style blending real-life photography backgrounds.
