"Ga-Rei: Zero" is a TV anime based on the manga "Ga-Rei" by Hajime Segawa. Co-produced by asread. and AIC Spirits, it aired from October to December 2008 for 12 episodes. A prequel to the original manga, it follows exorcists belonging to the Ministry of the Environment's Supernatural Disaster Countermeasures Division. The story centers on the bond and tragedy between Kagura Tsuchimiya, an orphan taken in by the exorcist Isayama family, and her adoptive older sister Yomi Isayama.
