High school boy Yorito Morimiya, who loves the sky, meets a mysterious girl named Matsuri Shihou gazing up at the sky one night. Matsuri is a "Yaka"—a being who cannot survive in sunlight. Her encounter with Yorito, who yearns for the blue sky she can never see, dramatically changes his everyday life.
