A TV anime co-produced by GONZO and AIC, based on the manga by Ryotaro Iwanaga serialized in Kodansha's Monthly Magazine Z. Set in an empire where a long war has ended in a ceasefire yet the land remains mired in famine, disease, and banditry by rogue soldiers, the Imperial Army establishes its Third Section of Army Intelligence — nicknamed "Pumpkin Scissors" — to address ongoing war disasters. The story centers on idealistic officer Second Lieutenant Alice L.
