Gun Frontier

A TV anime produced by Vega Entertainment, based on the manga by Leiji Matsumoto serialized in Akita Shoten's "Play Comic" magazine. The series aired on AT-X for 13 episodes. Set in the American frontier during the Wild West era, the story follows Tochiro, an unassuming master swordsman wielding a Japanese katana, and Harlock, a handsome scar-faced quickdraw gunslinger. Along the way, they encounter the mysterious beauty Sinunora, and together the trio embarks on a journey to find survivors of "Yellow Creek," a Japanese settlement destroyed by a cavalry attack.
