Kino's Journey -the Beautiful World- is a TV anime produced by A.C.G.T., based on the light novel by Keiichi Sigsawa published under MediaWorks' Dengeki Bunko with illustrations by Kouhaku Kuroboshi. 13 episodes aired on WOWOW from April to July 2003. Traveler Kino journeys from country to country with the talking motorrad (motorcycle) Hermes, staying only three days in each. The series offers philosophical allegories about human society through the unique customs and systems of each land visited. Directed by Ryutaro Nakamura.
