Cromartie High School

A gag comedy anime produced by Production I.G, based on the manga by Eiji Nonaka serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine. The story follows Takashi Kamiyama, the only normal student at Cromartie High School, one of Tokyo's most notorious delinquent schools. His classmates inexplicably include a gorilla, a robot (Mechazawa Shinichi), and a man who looks exactly like Freddie Mercury, and the delinquents engage in oddly philosophical discussions. The series delivers relentless absurdist humor in a short-format anime of approximately 12 minutes per episode across 26 episodes.
