Yuta, a young man who gained immortality after eating mermaid flesh, meets Mana, a girl who similarly became immortal, and they journey together seeking a way to become human again. They encounter incidents connected to mermaid legends at each destination, confronting the loneliness and sorrow inherent in immortality. A 13-episode series showcasing the dark side of Rumiko Takahashi, known for Urusei Yatsura and Ranma 1/2.
