Directed by Ryosuke Takahashi, the series adapts the "Dawn," "Resurrection," "Strange Beings," "Sun," and "Future" arcs from the original work. Centering on the immortal Phoenix, the 13-episode series traverses settings from ancient Japan to the distant future, exploring universal human themes such as history, religion, love, and life alongside contemporary issues like environmental destruction and genetic engineering on a grand scale. The music features erhu performer Chen Min and the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra.
