A television adaptation of Yuzo Takada's science fiction comedy. Mad scientist Kyusaku Natsume builds an android girl named Nuku Nuku by transplanting the brain of his beloved cat, and she joins the Natsume household as a family member. The show blends slapstick sparked by her innocent nature and feline instincts, the formidable personality of the family matriarch Akiko, and action against a shadowy rival corporation and its androids. Largely episodic with original story arcs, the series is anchored by theme songs performed by lead voice actress Megumi Hayashibara.
