Helitako Puu-chan

A roughly three-minute gag short produced by Toei Animation. On laid-back Whale Island, a peculiar creature called Puu-chan wanders in one day and begins causing small, surreal commotions among the island's easygoing residents in each episode. Aired as part of a TV Asahi children's anthology block alongside two sister shorts, the series became notable for its scrappy, handmade charm, including the repurposing of existing library music. Despite its brief running time, its quirky personality left a lasting impression.
