El-Hazard: The Magnificent World

A science-fantasy OVA produced by AIC in which ordinary high schooler Makoto Mizuhara is transported to the exotic parallel world of El-Hazard and drawn into a struggle against the insectoid Bugrom race alongside priestesses, royalty and warriors. A forerunner of the isekai genre, it is celebrated for its striking world design and polished drama.
