A Japan-Italy co-produced TV anime broadcast on NHK General TV, animated by Studio Junio and directed by Tetsuo Imazawa, based on an original concept by Marco and Gi Pagot. Set in the early twentieth century, Boston air-cargo pilot Montana Jones embarks with his archaeologist cousin Alfred and journalist friend Melissa on globetrotting adventures in search of legendary treasures hidden in ancient ruins, repeatedly foiling the schemes of the greedy collector Lord Zero. The rousing opening and ending themes were performed by Japanese rock band THE ALFEE.
