The first animated adaptation of Kosuke Fujishima's manga You're Under Arrest, released as a four-volume OVA from September 1994 through November 1995. Produced by Studio Deen with Kodansha, Bandai Visual and Marubeni, the police-action comedy follows Natsumi Tsujimoto and Miyuki Kobayakawa, a celebrated pair of women officers in the Bokuto Police Department's Traffic Division, as they handle colorful colleagues and suspects through thrilling mini-patrol chases and warmhearted cases. Crisp vehicle animation and sharp banter between the leads set a high standard, paving the way for later TV series.
