A Japan-Tokyo-based 26-episode TV anime loosely inspired by Yuzo Takada's manga Yaobikuni Denki, broadcast on TV Tokyo from October 1994 through March 1995 and co-produced by Production I.G and Ashi Production. Momiji Fujimiya, a middle-school girl descended from the Kushinada clan, becomes the focus of a supernatural action saga when ancient Aragami resurface in the modern world. Protected by the government agency TAC and joined by the half-Aragami youth Kusanagi, Momiji faces conspiracies surrounding the seals while confronting her destiny. The series blends occult, myth and science-fiction elements with a coming-of-age ensemble.
