Little Women II: Jo's Boys

Based on Louisa May Alcott's novel Jo's Boys, this is the 19th entry in the World Masterpiece Theater series, produced by Nippon Animation and aired on Fuji TV throughout 1993. Jo March, now married to Professor Bhaer, runs Plumfield Academy, raising her adopted daughter Nan and a lively household of students. Through pranks, quarrels, setbacks and friendships, the children grow up under the Bhaers' warm guidance. The series is marked by pastoral scenery and the lyrical direction typical of the Masterpiece Theater tradition.
