Irresponsible Captain Tylor

A space comedy based on Hitoshi Yoshioka's novel series The Irresponsible Captain Tylor, broadcast on TV Tokyo from January to July 1993. During a war with the Raalgon Empire, Justy Ueki Tylor joins the space force hoping for an easy life and, through sheer happenstance, ends up commanding the United Planets Space Force's worst destroyer, Soyokaze. His lackadaisical attitude baffles his crew, yet impossible luck and unorthodox instincts see him through every crisis. The series was an early TV anime adaptation of a Japanese light novel series.
