A short theatrical feature based on Akira Toriyama's gag manga Dr. Slump, released as part of the Toei Anime Fair on March 6, 1993. When Senbei Norimaki's malfunctioning time machine scatters the residents of Penguin Village across prehistory, the far future and dinosaur-filled worlds, Arale and her friends have to stumble home through one absurd adventure after another. Packed with nonsense gags centered on Arale's superhuman strength, Gatchan's appetite and Suppaman's delusions, the film keeps the parodic, fourth-wall-breaking tone of the original manga.
