The fifth Universal Century title in Sunrise's Gundam franchise, a 51-episode TV series directed by Yoshiyuki Tomino, broadcast on TV Asahi from April 1993 to March 1994. In U.C. 0153, the tyrannical Zanscare Empire seeks dominion over the Earth Sphere, and thirteen-year-old Uso Ewin takes up the prototype Victory Gundam for the resistance group the League Militaire. Merciless depictions of child soldiering, the deaths of comrades and the tragedies on both sides make the show one of Tomino's starkest statements on the cruelty of war and the weight of human sin.
