A theatrical adaptation of Masanori Morita's hit delinquent manga, produced by Toei Animation. High-schooler Taison Maeda, grandson of a former pro boxer, enters Tokyo's Teiken High and immediately gets pulled into brawls with neighborhood thugs and rival school punks while chasing his own dream of turning pro in the ring. Compressing some of the manga's most beloved early arcs into a single feature, the movie keeps the original's heady mix of hot-blooded fistfights, gruff loyalty among friends, and an awkward first crush.
