The third entry in Sunrise's Brave Series, broadcast on Nagoya TV and TV Asahi affiliates as part of the Saturday early-evening robot anime tradition. The story centers on elementary schooler Seiji Takasugi, chosen by Earth's defenders to wield the brave robot Da-Garn against the invading forces of Ohbos. While previous Brave Series titles leaned heavier on comedy, this entry took a more serious dramatic approach centered on a child protagonist bearing immense responsibility. The result reshaped the franchise's tonal direction and helped pave the way for later, more emotionally complex entries like Brave Police J-Decker and GaoGaiGar. Yuka Sato's stirring opening theme Kaze no Mirai e remains one of the most beloved songs in the entire Brave Series catalog.
