The second installment in the theatrical and OVA adaptations of Yoshiki Tanaka's epic fantasy novel series. The story follows young Crown Prince Arslan of Pars who, after the catastrophic fall of his kingdom, gathers loyal retainers including the great general Daryun and the strategist Narsus in pursuit of the liberation of the capital Ecbatana. Set in a richly imagined Persian-inspired realm, the film weaves political maneuvering with grand-scale battles and intimate character drama. As the series' second chapter, this entry deepens Arslan's growth into kingship and the bonds among his companions, setting the stage for the saga to continue. Yumi Tanimura's theme song Tokimeki wo Believe lends a wistful, lingering emotional resonance.
