The film is celebrated for its sleek next-generation mobile suit designs, its bittersweet romance between Seabook and his childhood friend Cecily, and its civilian-eye perspective on war. The signature theme ETERNAL WIND ~Hohoemi wa Hikaru Kaze no Naka~ by Hiroko Moriguchi grew into one of the franchise's most enduring songs and helped launch her career as the voice of Gundam.
