A historic dictionary once owned by Napoleon hides coded directions to a vast treasure, and Lupin's crew chase clues across European cities while dodging the relentless Inspector Zenigata. Jigen, Goemon and Fujiko all play their familiar parts alongside a new original heroine, and composer Yuji Ono delivers another jazz-inflected score evoking adventure and intrigue. The blend of historical romance and breezy action turned this special into a fan favourite of the early 1990s Lupin canon.
