An OVA adaptation of Yuzo Takada's occult-action manga. Ordinary high schooler Yakumo Fujii is bound to Pai, the last surviving member of the three-eyed Sanjiyan Unkara, when his soul is absorbed into her in order to keep him alive. As they search for a way to make Pai fully human, they confront her cold alternate persona Parvati and a parade of supernatural threats drawn from Asian mythology. The series blends mythic worldbuilding with detailed action animation, and Megumi Hayashibara's endearing performance as Pai helped propel the property through several OVA arcs and a future TV adaptation, earning a devoted fanbase.
