The hot-blooded robot action centers on his secret friendship with kindhearted elementary schooler Kota, defending the city against villainy. With classic transformations, combinations, and super attacks, plus the universal theme of a boy's bond with a giant robot, the show built the foundation for Heisei-era toy-tied mecha anime.
