Eleventh theatrical Doraemon film based on Fujio F. Fujiko's national comic, produced by Shin-Ei Animation under director Tsutomu Shibayama. Using the What-If Box, Doraemon and friends discover Animal Planet, an idyllic world inhabited by gentle animal people. When the dark planet Nimuge launches an invasion, Nobita and his crew join the animal boy Chippo to confront the impending conflict. With strong allegorical themes of environmental protection and peace, the film soars beyond children's fare into an epic fantasy adventure.
