Aired: 1990
Second Dragon Ball Z theatrical film based on Akira Toriyama's globally popular manga, produced by Toei Doga under director Daisuke Nishio with screenplay by Takao Koyama. The evil genius scientist Dr. Wheelo, frozen for fifty years, is resurrected and seeks the world's strongest body. After brainwashing Piccolo, Goku and the Z Fighters confront him and his Bio-Warriors. With expansive combat staging, expressive new characters, and theatrical-scale spectacle, the film was screened during the spring Toei Anime Fair alongside 'Akuma-kun: Welcome to Devil Land' and 'Mahotsukai Sally,' becoming one of the franchise's most beloved entries.
