First theatrical Patlabor film, directed by Mamoru Oshii from a Headgear original. As Tokyo Bays massive Babylon Project nears completion, a wave of Labor accidents traced to the new HOS operating system threatens the metropolis, sending Special Vehicles Section 2 racing against a giant typhoon to stop the conspiracy. The film famously anticipated computer-virus catastrophe long before personal computers became common in Japan.
