Anime film produced by Tsuchida Production and distributed by Toho, an original SF detective action with full setting and design cooperation from Studio Nue. Released August 7, 1982 in a limited Toho morning show run across 5 theaters (Shinjuku, Shibuya, Osaka, Nagoya, Sapporo), 78 minutes long. Originally planned as a TV series, the project took 4 years to reach theatrical release. Set in an early-21st-century science city, the story follows humans and humanoid AI robots partnering to fight crime. Joe Hisaishi composed the score, while singer Makoto Fujiwara was later cast for the 'Macross' theme song. (C)Tsuchida Production
