A television anime produced by Tatsunoko Production and broadcast on the Fuji TV network, the third work in the Science Ninja Team Gatchaman series, a science-fiction hero-action title. It depicts the battle between the secret organization Galactor, which schemes for world conquest, and the five-member special team that opposes it, the Science Ninja Team. Continuing from the previous series Science Ninja Team Gatchaman II, Ken the Eagle and the others wage fierce battles using new equipment and machines against the renewed ambitions of the revived archenemy Leader X. Built around spectacular aerial combat, a drama of solidarity, giant combining machines, and finishing moves, it is a culminating entry of the Tatsunoko hero series, sturdily depicting young people who stake their lives to protect the peace of Earth. The original is a Tatsunoko Production creation, beloved across generations throughout the series.
