A TV anime produced by Tatsunoko Production. The third work in the Time Bokan Series, broadcast in 52 episodes on Fuji TV from February 3, 1979 to January 26, 1980. Over the elixir of immortality known as 'Inochi no Moto,' Professor Monja's granddaughter Sakura and her assistant Tetsu transform into the hero Zenderman, engaging each week in slapstick pursuit against the villainous trio Akudama (Mujo, Tobokke, Donjuro) who covet the elixir. A popular work that established and inherited the series' signature blend of time-travel adventure, gags, and giant mecha battles. Music and theme songs were handled by Masayuki Yamamoto.
