An SF action anime produced by Toei Doga (Toei Animation), based on Osamu Tezuka's manga. Yanma, Ageha, and Mamezo—three humans shrunk to 5cm by underground beings—become "Microids" battling the evil Gidron army seeking to invade Earth. With help from boy Miki Misawa, the insect-cyborg heroes save humanity. Tezuka resigned from the production mid-broadcast, leading to significant content changes. 26 episodes.
