Gegege no Kitarou (1971 TV anime, 2nd series)

A yokai anime produced by Toei Doga (Toei Animation), based on Shigeru Mizuki's manga. The last surviving Ghost Tribe boy Kitaro, with Eyeball Father, Nezumi-Otoko, Neko-Musume, Konaki-Jiji, and Sunakake-Babaa, defends humans from evil yokai. The second series after the 1968 monochrome version, this color reboot established the definitive franchise visual identity, repeated decennially since. 45 episodes.
