A soccer spo-kon anime produced by Tokyo Movie, based on the manga by Ikki Kajiwara and Mitsuyoshi Sonoda in Weekly Shonen King. Shingo Tamai, who lost his brother in a soccer-related incident, transfers to Takigahara High School to lead the fierce "Red-Blooded Eleven" toward national championship. Created during the soccer boom following Japan's 1968 Mexico Olympics bronze medal, this pioneering soccer anime predates and influences "Captain Tsubasa." 52 episodes.
