A singer-songwriter as well as a voice actress and vocalist who portrayed one of the most memorable songstresses in anime history. In 'The Super Dimension Fortress Macross' she voiced Lynn Minmay, an idol who saves the world through song and culture, performing the ending 'Runner'. In the film 'Macross: Do You Remember Love?' she sang the series-defining theme 'Ai Oboete Imasu ka' along with many insert songs such as 'Tenshi no Enogu', 'Watashi no Kare wa Pilot' and 'Silver Moon Red Moon', cementing the in-story idol's presence through music. She again showcased her songs in the follow-up work 'Flash Back 2012'. With her crystalline voice she embodied an innovative world in which anime and music became one.
